Clallam County League of Women Voters offers videos of forums

The League of Women Voters of Clallam County has released video recordings of each of its two recent candidate forums.

They can be viewed on the League’s website at www.lwvcla.org.

A forum July 16 at Port Angeles City Hall featured candidates for Judge-District Court 1: Dave Neupert, Pam Lindquist and Suzanne M.B. Hayden, followed by candidates for Clallam County Commissioner District 3: Bill Peach, Howard “Mike” Doherty Jr. and Dale Wilson.

A forum last Wednesday — July 18 — was held at the Forks Library and co-sponsored by the North Olympic Library System. It presented the three candidates for Clallam County Commissioner District 3.

Both forums were well attended and members of the public posed questions to the candidates, the League said.

Ballots were mailed Wednesday and must be postmarked no later than Aug. 7. Ballots have prepaid postage, so voters don’t need to apply a stamp.

For residents not yet registered in Washington state, July 30 is the last day to register in-person at the Clallam County Auditor’s Office, Suite 1 in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St.

All video recordings are the property of the League of Women Voters of Clallam County. The League permits links to only the full, unedited video on the League’s website.
