Candidate forums set in Quilcene, Chimacum

The Jefferson County League of Women Voters and American Association of University Women are sponsoring two upcoming Jefferson County public forums from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Thursday and next Thursday.

This Thursday, candidates for the Jefferson Healthcare commission — Bruce McComas and Cheri Van Hoover — as well as Port Commissioner District 3 hopefuls Keith Beck and Pete Hanke will be available to answer questions at the Quilcene Community Center, 294952 U.S. Highway 101, Quilcene.

On Oct. 10, Chimacum High School Board candidates Jack McKay, Wilma Hackman, Sarah Martin and Ron Riggle, as well as Port Commissioner District 2 candidates Bill Putney and Brad Clinefelter will take questions from the public at the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum.

Fred Obee will moderate both forums.
