State voter registration down online

Online state voter registration and update services will be unavailable today through Monday, according to the state’s Office of Secretary of State.

Services through www.myvote.wa.gov are down due to a state Department of Licensing system upgrade scheduled for Labor Day weekend. Services will resume Tuesday.

In lieu of the closure, SOS’ elections website, www.sos.wa.gov/elections, has available downloadable and printable voter registration and update forms.

Completed forms can be submitted by mail or in-person to county elections offices.

Clallam voters can submit forms to or at Clallam County Courthouse, Auditor’s Office, 223 E. Fourth St. Suite 1, Port Angeles, WA 98362.

Jefferson voters can submit forms to or at Jefferson County Courthouse, Auditor’s Office, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend, WA 98368.

Visitors of the www.myvote.wa.gov site can still check their voter registration status during the closure, according to the news release.
