SEQUIM — Master Gardener Cathy Wagner will lead a presentation on flower arranging at 10 a.m. Saturday.
“Flower Arranging with Cuttings from the Garden” will be at the Master Gardeners’ Woodcock Demonstration Garden at 2711 Woodcock Road. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Wagner will review all aspects of flower arranging with attendees — how to choose containers and prepare these containers for long-lasting arrangements and advice on the best plants in your garden that will work as cut greens and flowers.
Wagner will then use cuttings from plants growing at Woodcock Garden to demonstrate design principles and various styles of flower arranging.
Wagner has been trained as a floral designer and landscaper. She graduated from the Depatis Florist School in Detroit and has designed for numerous weddings and other events.
Reasonable accommodations will be made for people with disabilities and special needs who contact Lorrie Hamilton at lhamilton@co.clallam.wa.us or 360-565-2679 at least two weeks prior to the event.
