Power goes out for hundreds in Jefferson County

PORT TOWNSEND — More than 600 customers were without power Tuesday evening, according to the Jefferson County Public Utility District.

The utility said on its website that the outage was caused by downed wires near state Highway 19.

Crews were responding to the scene.

An estimate of when power would be restored was not provided.
