StoryTime on the road
PORT ANGELES — The Summer Reading Program will take Storytime out on the road for four weekly events.
The free early literacy program is designed for children up to 5 years old and their adult caregivers.
Storytime sessions feature singing, reading, talking, playing and writing.
All sessions are at 10:30 a.m. Friday mornings.
This Friday there will be a session at the Port Angeles Police Department, 321 E. Fifth St.
Participants will meet members of the police department and check out a police car.
On July 19, there will be a baseball-themed session with the Parks Department at Civic Field, 307 S. Race St.
Attendees can meet firefighters and learn about fire safety July 26 at the Port Angeles Fire Department, 102 E. Fifth St.
On Aug. 2, there will be a special storytime for children of all ages and seniors at Highland Court Memory Care, 1704 E. Melody Lane.
