BRINNON — About 20 volunteers — including Brinnon Parks and Recreation board vice chair Joy Baisch, left, and Toni Wright, right — prepare shrimp on Thursday for the two-day Brinnon ShrimpFest over Memorial Day weekend. Brinnon Parks and Recreation board chair Belinda Graham said the group hopes to pull in 1,200 pounds of shrimp — equal to past festivals — to be packaged and frozen for the May 25-26 event between the Yelvik General Store and the Cove RV Park at 251 Hjelvicks Road in Brinnon.
