Artist Richard Russell Sneary of Kansas City, Mo., paints a waterfront scene from his vantage point on Port Angeles City Pier as he takes part in Paint the Peninsula on Saturday.

Sneary is one of 22 artists scheduled to create art en plein air at locales around the North Olympic Peninsula that will culminate in an art display at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., through next Sunday.
