PDN’s visitor guide arrives Monday with exclusive features and smartphone QR codes, too

The North Olympic Peninsula’s hottest visitor guide is hot off the press to make your Monday edition of the Peninsula Daily News really cool.

It’s PDN readers’ preview look before tens of thousands of complimentary copies of the spring/summer North Olympic Peninsula Newcomers’ and Visitors’ Guide find their way to visitor centers and other public contact points to herald the start of the Peninsula’s tourist season later this week.

In addition to a popular section for Twilight fans, the Guide introduces a section to enlighten visitors about the removal of the two Elwha River dams starting at the end of summer.

And for tourists who carry wireless smartphones, the Guide inaugurates high-tech QR codes that will instantly link the user to more information about an attraction.

Cool, eh? Look for it all with your regular Monday PDN.

For everyone reading this outside the PDN’s North Olympic Peninsula circulation area, don’t fret — the Newcomers’ and Visitors’ Guide will show up in its entirety soon on www.peninsuladailynews.com, too.
