NEWS BRIEFS: PUD meeting set today in Carlsborg; Unity speaker scheduled for this weekend

CARLSBORG — Clallam County Public Utilities District Commissioners Ted Simpson and Will Purser will convene in a special meeting today to approve questions for the second round of District No. 2 commissioner interviews.

The open meeting will commence at 11 a.m. in the district’s main office Lake Crescent boardroom, 104 Hooker Road.

Five candidates have been identified for the vacant commissioner position.

Unity speaker scheduled for this weekend

PORT ANGELES — Unity in the Olympics’ 10:30 a.m. Sunday service speaker will be the Rev. Patricia Coughlin-Mawson.

Her lesson at the church at 2917 E. Myrtle St. is titled “We Choose Love Again.”

Coughlin-Mawson is a “Course in Miracles” minister, a certified Unity prayer chaplain and hypnotherapist.

A time for silent meditation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Child care is available during the service.
