PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District will consider approval of a salary schedule for unrepresented employees at its meeting Thursday.
The regularly scheduled meeting, set to begin at
7 p.m., will be preceded by an executive session at 6:30 p.m. in the Central Services Building, 216 E. Fourth St.
Other items on the agenda include approval of the 2018-19 Highly Capable Program and recognition of Native American Heritage Month.

Special meeting
PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Public Infrastructure Fund Board will hear an update on the status of county code revision during a special meeting today.
The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St.
Board members also will hear a presentation on a proposal to finance personnel in the Economic Development Office, EDC Team Jefferson.
They will continue a discussion of a draft request for proposal.
New manager for Forks First Federal
FORKS — First Federal Bank recently announced the hiring of Kelly McConnell to manage its Forks branch.
McConnell, who was born and raised in Forks, has more than 16 years of banking experience.
The public will have an opportunity to meet McConnell from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
The meet and greet will be held in the bank’s Forks Branch, 131 Calawah Way.
The event will have appetizers, beverages and desserts as well as giveaways and a door prize from local businesses.
Distinguished Toastmaster
PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Toastmasters Club recently announced that Bill Cohill will be presented with the Distinguished Toastmaster award at noon Thursday.
The Distinguished Toastmaster award is the highest award available in Toastmasters clubs.
The presentation, at Charles Pink House,
1256 Lawrence St., will begin the Toastmasters’ meeting.
The public is invited to the free meeting.
