Naval Magazine Indian Island to hold ‘Giant Voice’ tests Monday and Tuesday

PORT HADLOCK — Naval Magazine Indian Island has announced that it will be upgrading and testing its mass notification system from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

According to a press release, residents of neighboring communities might hear a variety of sounds to include voice messages, sirens, distinctive tones and static noise from the system, which is also known as “Giant Voice.”
