Forks man dies in US 101 crash on West End

QUEETS — A 77-year-old Forks man died in a one-vehicle collision Wednesday morning 49 miles south of Forks at the Jefferson County-Grays Harbor County border.

Raymond E. Rorberg, 77, crashed his 2008 Volvo wagon into a tree at 10:24 a.m. Wednesday at milepost 144 on U.S. Highway 101, the State Patrol said.

A female passenger was not injured.

Rorberg was traveling south on 101 when he left the roadway.

Drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to the State Patrol.

Next of kin were notified by the State Patrol and Quinault tribal authorities.

The State Patrol is investigating the fatality.
