Danish joy in PT

PORT TOWNSEND — The traditional band Lydom, Bugge & Hoirup are bringing Danish songs and dance tunes — from wild polkas to lyrical waltzes — to the Quimper Grange Hall at 7 p.m. next Friday, Jan. 22.

This is joyful stuff, publicist Devon Leger said, adding it’s “great music and a nice way to discover Danish culture,” via their jigs, reels and exotic dance music from the island of Fano.

Admission to the show at the grange, 1219 Corona St., will be a suggested $10 to $15 donation. For details, see Quimpergrange.com or phone the hall at 360-385-0456.
