Clallam County League of Women Voters releases forum videos

PORT ANGELES — The League of Women Voters of Clallam County has released video recordings of each of its four recent candidate forums.

They can be viewed on the League’s website at www.lwvcla.org.

The first forum held at the Port Angeles City Hall on Oct. 3 featured candidates for Clallam County director of Community Development, Clallam County prosecuting attorney and Clallam County sheriff.

The second forum, co-sponsored by the Peninsula College Associated Student Councils and held at the Peninsula College at Forks on Oct. 16, presented candidates for Clallam County District Court 2 judge and Clallam County commissioner District 3.

The third forum, held Oct. 17 at Peninsula College Little Theater and co-sponsored by Peninsula College Associated Student Councils, included candidates for Public Utility District commissioner District No. 3 and U.S. representative.

The fourth forum Oct. 18 at the Port Angeles Public Library was co-sponsored by the North Olympic Library System and presented candidates for Clallam County District Court 1 judge and state representative Position 1 and Position 2.

Ballots were mailed Oct. 17 and must be postmarked no later than Nov. 6.

Ballots have prepaid postage, so voters don’t need to apply a stamp.

A repair crew performs work on the observation tower at the end of Port Angeles City Pier on Wednesday as part of a project to repair structural deficiencies in the tower, which has been closed to the public since November.
