LETTER: What’s the rush for Life Flight transport in Port Angeles?

What’s the rush

What is the big rush for Life Flight to set up operations in Port Angeles?

Has their operations plan truly been vetted?

Do we know where patients are off-loaded in Seattle?

Are we to buy the statement in today’s PDN that “$65 a year family membership covers the entire cost of emergency flights for ‘emergent medically necessary transport’ for all family members?”

Is that fee and membership based on the necessity for those individuals to be covered by health insurance?

What is the safety record of this company and its employees?

Airlift Northwest has been a safe, reliable, and dependable means of emergency medical transport for many years and this appears to me to be an insult to their company.

Ann Chang,

Port Angeles
