LETTER: Vote to support Sequim Library

I love the Sequim library.

As I walk into the building and pass another person, I say: “This is my favorite place in Sequim and I can afford everything in there.”

This always get a chuckle.

The day after I moved to Sequim, I got my card.

I also say that I am their best customer.

If I purchased everything I read from the library, I would not have room to move around at home.

I’d also have less money to do other things.

When I go to the library in Port Angeles, I feel jealous.

We need to upgrade our library to the 21st Century.

The shock I felt when the community didn’t support the last efforts to fund the school bonds and SARC (Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center) was profound.

Sequim is an educated, financially-sound community.

The library is always crowded.

When I go to an event, the chairs are all taken.

We need more space…

The parking lot is often full.

Please vote for your library.

Ballots will be mailed Oct. 17 and will be due Nov. 6.
