There are three erstwhile candidates for the open position on the Jefferson Healthcare board of commissioners.
As a former public hospital district commissioner, I recognize that all three earnestly believe that they have something to offer the voters of the district.
I credit them for stepping up to offer their service.
Being a public policy maker is a daunting task, especially in regard to public health care.
However, each brings a different background, skill set and motivation for their candidacies.
It is my hope that informed voters will agree with me that Cherie Van Hoover merits their vote based on these three factors.
As a candidate, Ms. Van Hoover’s motivation is grounded in her decades long training, experience and dedication to her profession.
As a certified nurse midwife, she is a nationally recognized leader and honored educator in her field.
We are extremely fortunate to have a candidate of her caliber.
