LETTER: Trump deserves credit for growing economy

I fully agree with the letter titled, “Better than this” (Peninsula Voices, Jan. 10) when the writer gives praise to President Donald Trump for his accomplishments.

It’s too bad we have this division in our country because of the Trump derangement syndrome.

In the same issue, I noticed an article posted about the Jamestown S’Klallam resort about to begin construction.

It said, “the project was originally slated to begin in 2008, but was determined that a delay was needed due to the national financial downturn at that time.”

Notice that the economy didn’t improve much during those eight years until President Trump was elected.

Could it be this “crude” business man had the business skills and hubris to drive our economy to a new high?

Better than a “civil’’ community organizer who couldn’t bring our country out of the recession during his eight years in office.
