LETTER: Thanks to students for standing up for Second Amendment

I would like to express my appreciation to the Sequim students who rallied in support of the Second Amendment (“Sequim High School students walk out for right to bear arms,” PDN, May 4).

Their support of our Constitution and Bill of Rights reflect true patriotisim, and should be a wake-up call for all young Americans to actively support the freedoms we all enjoy, and that so many U.S. service members have fought and died for.

Shame on those who are so narrow-minded to put their own opportunity for a photo op ahead of our freedoms.

Are there any other rights you want to lose to get your picture in the paper?

John Butler,

Sequim
