“Jefferson County Commissioner Ryan McAllister” would be the sound of sweet music to my ears.
Ryan would represent District 3 including Gardiner, Lake Leland, Quilcene, Brinnon, Shine and those of us in Port Ludlow.
You may faintly recognize his compassionate face. Ryan has often been up close and personal with us either at the emergency room as a technician or as a first responder coming into our homes during an emergency.
He has seen us at our worst, yet understands how to make it better — never questioning our party affiliation or wealth status.
Feb. 23 was an exciting day as Ryan officially announced his running at the Quilcene Community Center with a well-fitting campaign slogan “Young, Entergetic, Dependable, Ethical.” (“Candidate announces for District 3 county commission race,” PDN, Feb. 22).
Character is a trait money can’t buy.
