LETTER: Support Brotherton for vision, ideas in Jefferson

Supports Brotherton

I support and strongly encourage you to vote and elect Greg Brotherton as county commissioner in Jefferson County.

Research shows that attracting and keeping young entrepreneurial families is critical to rural economic success.

While we are seeing talented young people move into the community to farm, raise families, work with ships and crafts and generate new opportunities — there are real challenges.

Brotherton is the right leader to help us raise wages, start new businesses and develop a unique rural model of the New Economy which provides both growth and protection of our high quality of life.

He has successfully demonstrated the exact skill set and experience as a young entrepreneur and business leader. I encourage you to vote for him.

I’ve watched him take on difficult projects with creativity and enthusiasm.

He and his family re-opened the Quilcene Village Store, ensuring South County an open gas station and a healthy food outlet for locals and visitors along the 101 corridor.

Brotherton then saw potential in the south end of Discovery Bay and he has successfully started a new business center creating new jobs and viable businesses.

As a young father, he has served on the Quilcene school board, bringing vision and new ideas resulting in increased enrollments.

I have been very impressed with Greg Brotherton’s ability and willingness to engage and involve others in working together.

Please join me and vote for Greg Brotherton for county commissioner.

L. Katherine Baril,
