LETTER: Remove Malkin editorial column from paper

I am writing in support of the content in the April 5 letter “Not ‘just having fun’ ” regarding the cruel and unfeeling comments made by Michelle Malkin in her editorial on that date.

This is no the first — and I’m sure not the last — when writers [Peninsula Daily News] are going to plead with you to find a more reasonable replacement for her.

I have always believed that editorials were to inform the reader and usually written with a definite point of view.

We need these differing points of view, but let’s keep them civil.

Malkin has gone far beyond the limits of decency in telling us that the young students who experienced the school massacre are “ditching their homework” and “having fun.”

Her vile comments separate us even more during a time when we need to hear words that will allow us to work together and cooperate with hope that we can find common ground to solve the dilemmas we face today.

Malkin does none of this.

She spews out intolerance, disdain and a total lack of decency.

I add my voice to the letter writer’s: “I beg you to wipe her vomit from your pages.”

“It serves no purpose.”

Darlene Clemens,

Port Angeles
