LETTER: Opposed to positions of ROAR group in Port Angeles

From dark ages

There are three men who are riding dark horses from the past and trying to convince people that the dark ages were the best place to be.

Those men are the ROAR group (Reason Options Action Responsibility, roarpa.org).

Convinced that they know what is right for all of us.

Maybe we should do a background check and see if their way of parenting worked with their children, or do they have children?

Parents and students both need all the help they can get with up to date information about sex, STDs and health issues.

Information is power.

Get over the gender thing. People have the right to feel however they want. It is not your decision what sex someone decides to be.

Keep your nose out of their underwear.

Most of us don’t care who uses the bathroom with us, just don’t take all the toilet paper.

A health center in the school is a very smart idea.

Most parents work and can’t take their sick, physically or emotionally ill students to the doctor.

Appreciate it.

As for access to birth control, as anti-abortion you are, you should be glad a person is smart enough to take birth control pills.

It took us a lot of work to get out of the Stone Age; please don’t take us women back there.

Irene Smith,

Port Angeles
