LETTER: Long-term damage done to country

As defined on Wikipedia, a “useful idiot” is — in political jargon — a “derogatory term for a person perceived as a propagandist for a cause the goals of which they are not fully aware, and who is used cynically by the leaders of the cause.”

The term was orginally used to describe non-Communists regarded as susceptible to Communist propaganda and manipulation, according to Wikipedia.

That whole definition applies to the president, and pieces of the definition apply to his supporters who don’t care what he does nor take the time to study how he really is doing long-term damage to our country and the people of the United States.

What I am hoping is that in the remaining 6.5 months before the midterm November elections, you will not let yourself be a “useful idiot.”

All of you need to study the issues, the changes that are happening in government that are immediately and long-term dramatically hurting the country, the people who want to be our leaders, the actions and lies of the federal government, and by doing your duty to your country become a “useful citizen” in this next crucial election.

We need to stop the devastation of our country by the president, his cabinet, the majority of the Senate and the majority of the House of Representatives.

As I’ve said before — and I will continue to say — “do something, anything.”
