LETTER: Experience matters and Harrison has it in Jefferson County

I’m writing to voice my support for Noah Harrison for Jefferson County District Court judge.

In your Oct. 6 edition, his challenger expressed concern about the fairness of Harrison serving both as defense attorney and pro-tem judge.

I served in Jefferson County law enforcement for 10 years and I interacted with Harrison as he served in both capacities.

As a defense attorney he faithfully served his clients and as a jurist he critically and impartially evaluated the law.

I distinctly recall visiting Harrison at his home late one night seeking a search warrant.

He diligently reviewed my paperwork and asked critical questions ensuring proper procedure was followed.

Even as a pro-tem, he demonstrated extensive knowledge of the duties of District Court judge.

I do have a great amount of respect for Harrison’s challenger, but this is an election where experience matters.

Noah Harrison has that experience and deserves your vote.
