LETTER: Don’t stop in roundabouts, traffic circles

I see the county wants to install a traffic circle at Woodcock and Sequim Dungeness. I am all for it, but there are still too many people who do not know how to drive in them.

What is so hard about the traffic circles?

Number one rule:

Do not stop when you are in the circle. The Department of Transportation website instructs motorists to yield to those in the circle, who should not stop.

Some people still don’t get it.

Specifically the person I recently saw who was nicely stopping at each entrance, and waving the cars waiting to enter.

Even they were confused, because they were probably just waiting their turn.

You almost caused multiple accidents as I was behind you and not expecting you to stop.

Twice.

It was scary and others were confused and hitting their brakes, too.

Maybe the city could put up big signs with big letters saying do not stop once you are in the circle.

Some people here still do not get it.

So frustrating.

We need signage with flashing lights to alert drivers who think it is courteous to stop and usher waiting cars to enter.

Good grief.
