Doherty most open
I have known Mike Doherty for 40 years and have never heard any hint of impropriety or dishonesty in either public or private life.
Doherty is always respectful of others and of their opinions.
My experience with Mike Doherty is that if you present a new idea, or an idea different from his, he is never dismissive and will take the information into account and do any research needed.
He would not look to always have a three-vote consensus on the board, but voice his opinion in a respectful manner and give reasons for his opinions.
He is the most open public official I have known and is an extremely strong advocate of transparency in government.
He works at building teamwork at local, state and federal levels.
We are lucky to have his vast experience in all three levels.
I trust that he will look out for what he feels is in the best interest of the county without any hint of private gain.
