LETTER: Dogs were just fine in Forks

No harm to dogs

Friday my wife and I drove in from Forks for several appointments, including with our vet to get booster shots due for our dogs.

We also did some needed shopping while in town.

Since our dogs travel everywhere with us we have water, treats, and toys with us all the time.

And on those days that are too hot, we either leave them home or one of us stays with them with the air conditioning on in the truck.

However, Friday was not what is defined as an extreme day and our dogs got to stay in the truck with four of the five windows open and parked with the sun away from the cab while we were in the store.

Our fur-covered kids were not in distress.

The problem Friday was only some ignorant do-gooder thought it was their job to put a note on our truck threatening us for leaving our dogs unattended.

The do-gooders need to mind their own business until they learn the law and have a grasp of the situation and reality.

Joe Wright,

Forks
