LETTER: Cost of barriers in human life growing in Port Angeles

Now we know the value of a human life: $900,000.

The cost grows higher with each person who can climb a railing.

I’m horrified that nothing was done after the first person jumped from one of the Eighth Street bridges.

Come now, City Council, find the money to install suicide barriers before more lives are lost.

The saddest part of this is that a 15-year-old found life so awful she preferred to die.
