LETTER: Close one park, cut sequoia in another

The Port Angeles city parks and recreation director, Corey Delikat, ordered the closure of Lincoln Park due to fallen trees and debris, obviously for “public safety ” reasons.

They have been unable to clean it up and re-open the park yet because they are too busy.

The solution?

Create another mess, apparently unnecessarily, in Lions Park so we can close it also for “public safety” reasons.

Pure genius, Mr. Delikat.
