Columnist’s conclusions divisive, disgusting, without merit

I just discovered that I’m a racist.

In a very inflammatory opinion, a New York Times a columnist, Charles M. Blow, made it very clear that anyone who disagrees with him on current national events was indeed a racist.

So that includes me.

He stated that, “The history of America is one in which white people used racism and white supremacy to develop a racial caste system that advantaged them and disadvantaged others.”

As a student of American history, I find his conclusions disgusting, divisive, and without merit.

This so-called “racial caste system” has produced the greatest expression of freedom, economic stability and opportunity for black, Asian, and Hispanic minorities unequaled anywhere in the world.

In supporting and encouraging similar biased reporting, the New York Times has lost all credibility for journalistic standards for which it was well known in the past.

Thank heavens for a free alternate press.

Yes, there have been many inequalities in the past, but I applaud the multitude of black, Asian, and Hispanics I have known who have succeeded on their own merits without constantly pulling out the race card.
