PORT ANGELES — The 20th annual Bring Your Own Art Show will be among the highlights of the Second Saturday Art Walk in Port Angeles.
The reception for the show at Studio Bob, upstairs at 118½ E. Front St., will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The show is open to all artists, from professional to never-shown-before.
A no-host bar and refreshments are planned in The Loom next door to the studio.
The show will continue from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Other special events during the Second Saturday Art Walk, which runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., are:
• Landing Artists Studio, 115 E. Railroad Ave., Suite 103, will host Art Walk on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served.
As part of the studio’s continuing Customer Appreciation Days, it will offer a table of marked-down jewelry and art pieces. Items will be on sale until this coming Thursday.
The artists have been busy working on new projects for spring and summer,” said owner Pamela Dick. “Stop in and take a look at what’s new and in process. … Commissions and special requests welcome.”
Winter hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Tuesdays and Wednesdays by chance.
The studio will be closed from Jan. 19 to Feb. 1 during the Coho ferry hiatus.
• Harbor Art Gallery, 110E. Railroad Ave., will host an artist reception from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
It will feature the work of 14 local artists working in photography, paintings, block prints, sculpture, wood work, ceramics, glass and jewelry.
• Bar N9NE, 228 W. First St., will feature local musician Julian Huxtable and local artist Jeff Tocher at the Second Friday Art Rock (2FAR).
The party will start at 9 p.m.
The $3 cover charge will help support the musicians and artist.
Huxtable, normally part of the all-original hip-hop group Coexist, is also a solo artist.
He will lay down some John Mayer-style solo acoustic jams that will feature his vocal abilities.
Tocher will do live painting at 2FAR.
He “has added life and color into as many spaces as there are grains of sand on Hollywood Beach.
“At 2FAR, as always, he will bring enough grains of wit, whimsy, color and pizzazz for everyone in attendance,” organizers said.
