PORT TOWNSEND — Singer-songwriter Micaela Kingslight will perform at 7:30 tonight at Rainshadow Recording on Battery Way at Fort Worden.
Tickets are $15 and are available locally at Crossroads Music, 2100 Lawrence St., or micaela.brown papertickets.com.
Kingslight is a professional musician who “can stun a room with a simple melody or get a crowd to move with groovy bluesy, indie soul rock tunes,” organizers said.
She accompanies her vocals with guitar skills developed over many years performing and teaching for a living.
She will be joined by Blaise Holly, David Conklin and Leif Gearhart-Hall.
Kingslight has worked with many bands throughout the country, such as Crossroads Blues band and Fly Paper and has recorded five original albums (one solo and 4 with Fly Paper).
She decided to relocate to Port Townsend in 2015 and currently teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, celtic harp and beginning mandolin at Crossroads Music.
She performs with her original music trio and with Strong Sun Moon, along with other groups in the area.
