Free outdoor concert planned in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — The Blue Rhinos will perform electric blues Wednesday during the free Concerts on the Pier series in Port Angeles.

No free outdoor concerts are planned next week in Sequim and Port Townsend. Both have finished their summer series, with FarmStrong performing in Sequim’s Concerts in the Park last Tuesday and Kevin Mason and the PT All Stars wrapping up the Concerts on the Dock series in Port Townsend on Thursday.

However, Sequim might reschedule the concert originally set for Aug. 21, which was canceled because of unhealthy air from wildfire smoke. The tentative date for that concert is Sept. 11.

Port Angeles will continue hosting performances in the Concerts on the Pier series through Sept. 19. Concerts are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday on City Pier.

Here is the schedule.

• Sept. 12 — Stardust Big Band.

• Sept. 19 — The Weavils, bluegrass.

See schedule at ConcertsonthePier.
