SEQUIM — Fourth Friday Readings will host Craig Andrews as the featured writer at The Lodge media room at 6:30 p.m. today.
The free event will feature five-minute open mic readings after Andrews’ presentation at 660 Evergreen Farm Road.
Interested writers are urged to come early to submit their names and to rehearse in advance, as the readings are timed. For guidelines, contact lindabmyers@yahoo.com.
Craig Andrews is a loyal participant at the Fourth Friday events. His short story “Beans Fit for a King — A Fable for our Times” will be a change for him as well as his listeners.
Andrews believes in the transformative strength of the written and spoken word.
“Words are powerful and explain your world; they allow you to see something in a new way,” he said.
He is a graduate of the University of California with a degree in religious studies. He is a yogi and a Taoist adept.
