Port Angeles woman arrested for investigation of robbery, pursuit

First court appearance expected today

PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles woman was arrested for investigation of robbery Saturday for allegedly taking items from a Front Street business and leading police on a foot pursuit at Jesse Webster Park.

Donna M. Sero, 31, was booked for investigation of second-degree robbery and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Sero is expected to make her first court appearance today. She was being held in the Clallam County jail without bail Sunday.

Port Angeles police said Sero had reportedly taken items from a business on the 600 block of East First Street at about 3:36 p.m. Saturday and repeatedly pushed an employee who tried to stop her.

Police located the vehicle Sero was driving and pursued Sero on foot, according to a Port Angeles Police Department announcement.

“Sero continued to flee as officers converged on her and ordered her to stop,” police said.

Cpl. Sky Sexton caught up to Sero.

She continued to struggle as Sexton placed her in handcuffs with help from Officer Eric Walker.

The stolen property was recovered, police said.
