Weather station webinar for farmers

PORT HADLOCK — The Washington State University’s Regional Small Farms Program is hosting a free webinar for Olympic and Kitsap peninsula farmers from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4.

The program also will be recorded fro farmers who cannot watch it live.

The free webinar will highlight the university’s AgWeatherNet, an online tool for accessing current and historical weather sets.

The tool is designed to help improve production quantity and quality, optimize resource use and reduce environmental impacts.

Speakers will include Dave Brown, director of AgWeatherNet and Bob Simmons, WSU water resource specialist for the Olympic region.
