Port Townsend lecture to talk writers’ conference and pitching

PORT TOWNSEND — Jolie Stekly will present “Pitch It!” from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

The lecture will be be presented in the Humphrey Room at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave.

Stekly is a writer, coach and instructor who works with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Western Washington, Peninsula Kidlit network.

Her presentation is oriented towards writers planning to attend the society’s upcoming conference and will focus on how to get the most out of the event.

Stekly will discuss how to prepare a one sentence pitch and will answer questions about the children’s book industry.
