BUSINESS BRIEFS: Swain’s fundraiser kicks up Port Angeles schools donation … and other items

PORT ANGELES — Swain’s General Store recently presented a check for $930 to the Port Angeles Education Foundation.

The funds were part of Swain’s Gives Back Promotion in conjunction with Georgia Boot Footwear.

For every pair of Georgia Boot sold — 93 pairs — $5 was donated to the Port Angeles Education Foundation, with Swain’s matching the total amount.

Mark Urnes accepted the check on behalf of the education foundation from Mike Mudd, Don Droz and Ryan Gedlund.

The donation will purchase basic needs and supplies for children in the Port Angeles School District.

Gray Wolf Ranch under new owners

PORT TOWNSEND — Atwell Care Management LLC recently acquired Gray Wolf Ranch treatment center.

Atwell Care, established in 2016 by Greg Rush and Rick Shamberg — whom have experience investing in health care and hospitality assets — makes its first venture in behavioral health and addiction treatment space with Gray Wolf Ranch, according to a news release.

The center, located at 3804 W. Hastings Ave., is a 26-bed residential treatment facility for males between the age of 14 and 26 dealing with substance addiction and other co-occurring disorders.

“We are incredibly excited about the future of Gray Wolf Ranch and intend to build on its remarkable legacy and continue to provide a transformative experience for young men and their families,” said Shamberg, co-managing partner of Atwell Care, in a news release.
