BUSINESS BRIEFS: New lead mechanic, volunteer board member at ReCyclery … and other items

PORT TOWNSEND — The ReCyclery recently gained a new lead mechanic and a new volunteer board member.

Jonathan Arp will be the new lead mechanic in the next several months as he moves his family from Olympia to Port Townsend.

“I am looking forward to being settled into a new life with all of you,” Arp said in a news release.

David Thielk is a new volunteer board member and is semi-retired.

Prior to being a board member, Thielk worked for 32 years in the public school system as an educator and has been an avid bicycle enthusiast for 57 years.

“I am looking forward to having fun with the ReCyclery and connecting with the employees and the other board members,” Thielk said in a news release.

KONP talk guests

PORT ANGELES — Here is this week’s schedule for the 1:05 p.m. to 2 p.m. local talk show segment on KONP radio, at 1450 AM, 101.7 FM and www.konp.com on the internet outside the Port Angeles area.

Station General Manager Todd Ortloff hosts the Monday through Thursday segments.
