After a tense rescue effort, which involved the young orca being unable to surface for 12 minutes, it was finally freed and reunited with its family.

A YOUNG KILLER whale is trapped in a fisherman's net near Port Hardy, B.C.

A pod of distressed whales cries out frantically as the youngster struggles to get free.

Sightseers aboard a whale-watching boat that arrives to help are stunned at what they see.
