Starting pay is $15.27 an hour and the jobs can lead to apprentice positions at the Bremerton shipyard. The announcement will be posted Monday at www.usajobs.gov .
The shipyard has hired more than 1,000 workers since September.
Spokeswoman Mary Ann Mascianica says the shipyard is training workers to replace skilled employees who are nearing retirement age.
The new jobs will bring the shipyard's workforce close to 12,000 — the most in years.
