Send us your memories of JFK assassination

Peninsula Daily News

WHERE WERE YOU when John F. Kennedy was assassinated?

The 50th anniversary of his death is Nov. 22.

Kennedy was 46 when he was shot to death at about 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time Nov. 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a motorcade with First Lady Jackie Bouvier Kennedy.

In 50 words or less, tell us where you were, what you were doing and how you and those around you reacted to the news.

We'll include your thoughts in the Friday, Nov. 22, edition of the Peninsula Daily News.

Please email your recollections to PDN Managing Editor Leah Leach at lleach@peninsuladailynews.com by 5 p.m. Friday.

Include your current age, city of residence, and a daytime contact phone number. (The phone number will not be published.)

Please attach a JPEG portrait photo of yourself if you'd like, and we will try to include some of those, too.

We also will accept typed recollections.

Drop them off at our office at 305 W. First St. in Port Angeles, also by 5 p.m. Friday, or mail them to 305 W. First St., Port Angeles, 98362. Your submission must be received by Friday.

Questions? Phone Leach at 360-417-3531.
