The panel discussion, free and open to the public, will be held in the college’s Little Theater on the campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., from 12:35 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Panelists will include Rex Wilson, executive editor of the Peninsula Daily News; Fred Obee, general manager of the Port Townsend-Jefferson County Leader; Michael Dashiell, editor of the Sequim Gazette; and Todd Ortloff, general manager of KONP Radio.
They will discuss such aspects as selecting news and feature stories and the words that best express them from across the Peninsula, college journalism instructor Rich Riski said.
Also discussed will be the economics and the different media platforms that affect news and feature reporting.
Student journalists from the Peninsula College Buccaneer also will speak on journalism workshops they attended in San Francisco and New York City, Riski said.
