...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 3 PM PST TUESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 3 PM PST TUESDAY.
THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...SHELTON...BELFAIR...BRINNON...
SEABECK...AND HOODSPORT.
* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO START EARLY CHRISTMAS MORNING AND
CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE DAY BEFORE CHANGING OVER TO RAIN OR A
RAIN AND SNOW MIX. ABOVE THE 500 FOOT LEVEL...THE SNOW MIGHT
NOT CHANGE OVER TO RAIN UNTIL DURING THE EVENING.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 10 INCHES IS POSSIBLE...WITH A FOOT OF
SNOW POSSIBLE AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF THE CANAL.
* MAIN IMPACT...TRAVEL MAY BECOME DIFFICULT DUE TO SNOWPACKED
ROADS. IN ADDITION...THE HEAVY SNOW COULD CAUSE LOCAL POWER
OUTAGES AND SNAP TREE LIMBS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS OCCURRING
OR IMMINENT. THOSE PLANNING TRAVEL IN THE WARNING AREA SHOULD BE
