They're busy frolicking to the rock 'n' roll music of “Freak Like Me,” the homegrown production at Peninsula College today (Saturday, Nov. 17).
A musical romantic comedy written by Peninsula College professor Michael Mills, “Freak” stars Fred Robinson and Sharon French as circus performers pursuing an escapee from their freak-show ranks.
Bigfoot quest
Meanwhile, Tim Macausland and Anna Unger portray the Nerd and Cheerleader on a quest of their own — for Bigfoot.
Yes, Sasquatch is their quarry as they traipse through the woods, stopping now and then to sing some more rock songs.
Along the way, the searchers find something better than Bigfoot; this show is about much more than that hairy beast, said director Lara Starcevich.
“Freak Like Me,” a co-production of Peninsula College's Drama Department and the Port Angeles Light Opera Association, also features a five-piece band led by Kristin Quigley Brye.
Today's shows
The show made its premiere Thursday night, and now just three performances remain — at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. today (Saturday).
Tickets are free for Peninsula College students, $5 for other students, $15 for adults and $12 for seniors at the door of the Little Theater at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
