It's called Hot Air Balloon from Oz.
The patch is open from 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays — including today — and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The decoration changes every year for the seasonal business and is often a “Wizard of Oz” theme.
“We've been doing 'Wizard of Oz' themes over the years,” said Theresa Lassila, manager of the patch owned by her father, Phil Lassila.
Everyone likes 'Wizard of Oz'
“One year, we had Over the Rainbow. One year, we had No Place Like Home.
“Everybody from the age of 2 to 102 usually likes the 'Wizard of Oz,'” Lassila explained.
The cornfield maze is $5 for youths ages 12 and younger, and $10 for ages 13 and older.
For $5, horseback rides are available, or people can use a catapult to send pumpkins flying for a chance at a $100 prize. There also is a straw maze that is $5 for youths and free for adults.
Snacks like kettle corn, corn on the cob, corn dogs and apple cider are available for purchase.
Visitors can pick a pumpkin, and field trips and birthday parties can be accommodated.
