The injuries to all three were minor, said Patrick Young, spokesman for Clallam County Fire District No. 3, which assisted at both wrecks.
The first crash was at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 101 and Kitchen-Dick Road, Young said.
The two-vehicle collision blocked the southbound lane of Kitchen-Dick Road and slowed traffic on 101 for approximately 45 minutes, he added.
Trooper Russ Winger, State Patrol spokesman, said Paul Pacelli, 65, of Sequim was turning eastbound onto Highway 101 from Kitchen-Dick Road in a 2009 Toyota when he struck a westbound 2005 Jeep driven by Gwendolyn Nauden, 60, of Bremerton.
Winger said Pacelli's view of oncoming traffic apparently was blocked by a vehicle in a turn lane, Winger said.
Pacelli and an unidentified passenger were transported to OMC for treatment of minor injuries and were later discharged.
Pacelli was cited for failure to yield and lacking insurance, Winger said.
A collision at noon Monday on Schoolhouse Point Road resulted in injuries to an unidentified driver.
Jean F. Lortz, 65, of Sequim, who was headed eastbound in a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier, was cited for driving at a speed too fast for conditions after hitting the back of a 2004 BMW 325 driven by Janis J. King, 65, of Sequim, which was stopped to make a left-hand turn, State Patrol Trooper E.J. Ellefson said.
Lortz was treated on the scene and discharged, Ellefson said.
King was transported to OMC for examination of possible neck and back injuries, Young said.
Young classified the injuries as “minor.”
Eastbound traffic initially was blocked for 10 to 15 minutes until Clallam County sheriff's deputies and firefighters from District No. 3 established traffic control, he said.
