Forty-one vendors will sell everything imaginable in five buildings on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds during the eighth Annual Jeffco Community Garage Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
"It's a little bit of everything," said Sue McIntire, office manager.
Variety of merchandise
Some examples: fishing gear, tools, antiques, collectibles, household items, candles, furniture, dishes, clothes, linens, birdhouses, a coffin.
A coffin?
"I think I saw one guy said he was selling a coffin," McIntire said.
"So it's not just used, but also new things."
Admission to the giant garage sale will be free. The fair restaurant will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for breakfast and lunch.
One vendor will be the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, which is selling office supplies and old display cases, McIntire said.
In addition to the 41 vendors of the community garage sale, one entire building will house the fair association's own garage sale.
Donations are accepted and can be dropped off at the fairgrounds from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today -- or until the sale opens.
"I won't turn any away if they come Saturday morning," McIntire said.
Proceeds from the vendor rentals and the fair association's sale will benefit the association's support of the Jefferson County Fair.
Both indoor and outdoor garage sale spaces are still available to rent.
Heated indoor spaces are $50 for a 10-by-10-foot space or $100 for a 10-by-20-foot space.
Unheated indoor spaces are $30 for a 10-by-10-foot space. Outside tailgate space is also $30.
The fairgrounds are at 4907 Landes St., Port Townsend.
